Privacy Policy
Last updated October 19, 2026. Privacy is the foundation of Sinners. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, who receives it and what choices you have.
1. Who is responsible
Your data is controlled by the administrator of the sinners.net service. Contact for any privacy question or request: support@sinners.net.
2. What we collect
- Account data: email address, password (stored only as a secure hash), nickname, profile type.
- Profile data: photos, privacy settings, city, preferences and boundaries, experience level, text you write. Some of this reveals information about your sex life and sexual orientation, which you choose to share.
- Verification data: images of your ID and a live selfie, used to confirm age and identity.
- Messages and activity: chats, photo unlock requests, RSVPs, reports and blocks.
- Payment data: plan, billing period and payment status. Card details are handled by the payment provider and never stored by us.
- Technical data: IP address, device and browser type, essential cookies, and the source of your visit.
- The profile preview you build before signing up, stored only when you create an account.
3. Why we use it
- To provide the service: profiles, search, matching, messages, events.
- To verify that members are adults and who they say they are.
- To keep members safe: moderation, fraud prevention, handling reports.
- To process payments and manage your membership.
- To send account emails, such as verification codes and billing notices. Emails have neutral subject lines.
- To meet legal obligations.
We do not sell your data and we do not use it for third party advertising.
4. Who receives data
We share data only with service providers who help us run Sinners, under contracts that limit their use of it: a hosting provider, an identity verification provider, a payment provider for adult services, an email delivery provider and a content moderation tool. We disclose data to authorities when the law requires it, in particular in cases involving minors or trafficking. Other members see only what you choose to show on your profile.
5. Verification documents
ID images and selfies are used only to confirm age and identity. They are never shown to other members. We keep the result of the check and delete the images within 30 days after the check is complete, unless the law requires longer or the case is under investigation.
6. How long we keep data
We keep account and profile data while your account is open. When you close your account, we delete or anonymize it within 30 days, except data we must keep for legal, tax or safety reasons, such as payment records and records of serious rule violations.
7. Your rights
You can access, correct, download and delete your data, and object to or restrict certain uses. Residents of states with privacy laws, including California, have these rights under those laws. We do not sell or share personal information as those laws define it. To use your rights, write to support@sinners.net from the email of your account.
8. Security
Data is encrypted in transit, passwords are hashed, and access to verification data is restricted. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password.
9. Cookies
We use only essential cookies for login, security and your settings. There is no advertising tracking. See the cookie policy.
10. Minors
Sinners is for adults only. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18, and we remove any such account and report it where required.
11. Changes
We will notify you of material changes to this policy by email or in the service.
